Day 1 by the numbers:
- 608 miles traveled
- Highest point: 647 feet above sea level
- 3 different states
- 5.5 hours of heavy rain
- 3 National Weather Service flood warnings
- 2 weary road warriors
So, it rained. Regardless, however, we had a really nice drive to Tupelo and saw very little traffic. A few miles outside of Tupelo, we finally saw the sun and were treated to some lovely scenery.
Good night from Tupelo. We're going to enjoy our complimentary cookies and coffee and hit the sack. Tomorrow: Branson, MO by way of Memphis, TN.
